| Responsibilities | - Sustain optimal operational performance of the plant, aligning with power and water export levels as mandated by off-taker control centers.
- Conduct routine tests to ensure the reliability of trip devices and the operational readiness of standby equipment.
- Execute electrical switching operations up to 11 KV from the Central Control Room (CCR).
- Oversee safe start-up and shutdown of Power & Water Plant equipment (GTG/HRB/MSFE/BOP) to ensure maximum reliability and availability.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to plant emergencies or transient conditions to prevent operational disruptions and equipment failures.
- Manage all types of emergency situations to maintain the continuous availability and reliability of the plant.
- Monitor the condition of all plant equipment, reviews alarms, checks chemical levels and ensure the availability of standby equipment.
- Oversee the performance of the plant and critical equipment during both operational and shutdown phases.
- Analyse plant performance parameters, implementing necessary corrective actions to maintain the plant in a safe and efficient operational state.
- Plan and execute controlled changeovers and shutdowns of plant equipment for maintenance.
- Lead and instruct Field Engineers in operating plant equipment and conducting routine plant tests, changeovers, and maintenance tasks.
- Assume the role of incident commander in emergencies in the absence of the Control Room Engineer I / STL.
- Prepare and manage various operational reports, such as all type of Shift Reports, Shift Operations Control Room Log and other reports related to equipment operation.
- Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and environmental management protocols. |
