Role Level: Senior Professional (Technical & Operational)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a specialized Technical Learning & Development Senior Officer to oversee specialized technical training programs for our recruits and existing staff. This role requires an Engineering background and a deep understanding of the energy sector to ensure our technical workforce acquires the critical skills needed for our power plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize specialized training roadmaps for managers and technical staff, both locally and overseas.
- Manage development programs for new recruits, ensuring their progression into competent technical roles.
- Coordinate with educational bodies (e.g., Qatar Energy, CNA-Q) and international institutions regarding scholarships.
- Manage training facilities, vendor negotiations, travel arrangements, and visa processing.
- Track L&D expenses, manage budgets, and process invoices through HRMS.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mandatory).
- Minimum 8 years in L&D/Training roles within the Energy or Power sector is essential., with at least 3 years in a position of responsibility.
- Expertise in building, designing, and developing local or national training programs from the ground up.
- Familiarity with Lotus Notes is a strong advantage.
- English proficiency is mandatory; Arabic is a plus
- Experience working within the Gulf (GCC) area.
